Power in Numbers
I have always enjoyed working with groups and have had many occasions to experience group dynamics both as a participant and a leader. As a project manager at Corel I had the opportunity to deliver live demonstrations and seminars across the United States and, since becoming a yoga teacher in 1999, have had the privilege to share my passion for health and wellness with thousands of students.
Growing Through Cancer
In the summer of 2008 I received some news that drastically rocked my world – I was very unexpectedly diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer. I put my coaching and consulting businesses and my yoga teaching on hold while I went through a challenging four rounds of chemotherapy and a major surgery. Overnight I went from having an active and busy life to spending hours in hospital beds, sometimes too nauseated and exhausted to do anything more than stare at the ceiling.
My circumstances provided me with the opportunity to really stop and look at my life. I fantasized about how my life would be different once I got my health back and committed to living a life that was aligned with my values and passions, and not settle for anything less.
I’m happy to report that 2008 ended on very positive note. Drawing on my own strength and determination with the support of many caring and talented family, friends and healers I ended the year cancer free.
It’s About Time™ Workshop
I created the It’s About Time workshop as a way of sharing the many insights that my experience of growing through cancer has brought. The workshop draws upon my experiences as a life coach, yoga teacher and technologist to deliver a truly unique and valuable experience. My sincere wish is that all participants leave the workshop feeling reconnected with their dreams and with a new set of tools for living a happy and fulfilling life.
The workshop launched in Vancouver on May 30, 2009 and received a very positive response. More workshops are planned over the coming months.
